Rajahmundry was called as Rajamahendravaram and was ruled by the king Raja Raja Narendra. It is a Municipal Corporation with nearly 4 lakhs population situated in the costal Andhra Pradesh. Kolkata – Chennai National Highway No.5 is passing through Rajahmundry which is on the banks of Holy River Godavari on which Asia’s longest road cum Railway Bridge was built. Rajahmundry is connected by Air, Railway and Road (NH-5) Rajahmundry is a midpoint of North East and Bangalore (Nearly half of the distance).
